Welcome to CyberSeer!

The growth of online service adoption has accelerated in the past few years due to the COVID pandemic, so as the severity and number of cyber threats targeted in all industries.

PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) is aware of the significance and impact of cyber threats. PTTEP is the E&P flagship of PTT Group, Thailand’s national oil company. PTTEP currently has more than 40 projects globally.

PTTEP’s business is driven by the vision to become the “Energy Partner of Choice” through competitive performance and innovation for long-term value creation. With the digital transformation, PTTEP realizes that technology becomes one of the important components to accomplish their mission.

What are we doing?

Starting from March 2021, PTTEP has collaborated with the team of researchers and faculty members at CMKL university on the cybersecurity risk and resilience assessment project, called CyberSeer.

CyberSeer will provide the comprehensive cyber risk assessment and continuously assess the company’s digital asset risks through our interactive dashboard.

The R&D team has been working on the cyber risk assessment algorithms uniquely designed for the Oil and Gas Company as well as incorporate the current standards and risk assessment methodologies, such as NIST, the risk assessment practice by Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, and Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (C2M2) by U.S. Department of Energy.

The R&D team are also working on introducing practices done in the technology sectors, such as the concept of Chaos Engineering invented by Netflix to ensure the resiliency of critical IT infrastructure.

The CyberSeer project will help strengthen the company’s cybersecurity on their digital assets, improving the resilience against undesired adversary.
